Palm came to China at then end of 2002 with its operation system, and pushed Palm168 integrated with Chinese operation system with the help of Legend Group.

Lu Yan, vice-president of Legend Group, says the cooperation between Legend and Palm is to meet the demanding wireless and recreational needs. They will co-launch wireless and recreational handy products in 2003. Despite recreational function, Legend also pays more attentions to the general packet radio service products. Legend's Palm168 is RMB 2,000, with availableness of more than 15,000 of online application software for Chinese users.

In 2002, with the PDA market wilting and changing in structure, while sales of PAD was increasing potentially. As more and more new PDA products would be pushed, the market would be again reshaped.

Competitors from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan would come to mainland China in 2003 excluding Legend, HP, and Sony etc. Their competition would provide more choices as well as better services.
