SynchrologicTM Introduces Solution to Cut Email Sync Times 90%
PC Sync, A Lightning Fast Way for Mobile Employees to Sync Corporate Email, Calendar, and other PIM Data on Laptops or PCs
ANAHEIM, CA, October 9, 2002 - Synchrologic today announces a new feature within Synchrologic Email AcceleratorTM - PC Sync - that rapidly synchronizes email, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes from Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino servers to Microsoft Outlook clients on laptops PCs.
Mobile workers know that syncing email to their laptops over wireless or dialup connectivity is a difficult experience at best. Traditional email and PIM synchronization solutions were designed for PCs with in-office, high-speed connections. These solutions are inadequate for workers while they are out of the office using standard dialup or wireless connectivity options - sometimes taking hours to sync, decreasing their productivity. The new feature of Synchrologic Email Accelerator is designed to increase worker productivity, decrease support costs, and provide measurable ROI by:
- Providing filters for truncating long emails and filtering out large attachments, which greatly reduces sync sessions and the amount of data transferred.
- Giving users smart features such as Preview Mail that shows users only the headers of emails to be delivered - giving them the power to override preset filters or even deleting email before it is sent from the server.
