Synchrologic, Infokall Partner to Deliver Mobile Solutions for Public Safety and Healthcare Industries
First Deployment for Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department
ATLANTA and SANTA ANA, Calif -May 21, 2002 - Synchrologic and Infokall today announce they have formed a strategic partnership to mobilize the complex backend systems used by the public safety and healthcare industries. The result of this partnership begins with a mobile and wireless solution for the officers of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Based on Synchrologic's iMobile Suite, Infokall will build a wireless handheld solution that will enable the officers of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, using Pocket PC 2002 devices, to accurately report notices served for bank garnishments, eviction notices and other civil process services provided by the law enforcement department. The process is currently tracked and monitored using a paper-based form that may contain errors or omissions resulting in legal inaccuracies and inefficiencies.
The system will also:
- Provide the administrative staff of the sheriff's department to track and view officer field activity on a more real-time basis through Infokall's enterprise application integration solutions and Synchrologic's iMobile Data Synchronization
- Give the department's IT staff the mobile systems management tools to deliver software, files and other information to the Pocket PC's as well as track the hardware and software assets on the mobile devices in the field through Synchrologic's iMobile Systems Management
