Synchrologic Opens European Office; Appoints Martin Allen Managing Director
Booming demand in mobile, wireless infrastructure fuels aggressive growth
ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Dec. 4, 2000 - Synchrologic, the leader in synchronizing business data anywhere, today announced the grand opening of its first European office in Oxfordshire, near London. In addition, Synchrologic named Martin Allen managing director of the European business unit.
The Atlanta-based company expanded its European presence in response to growing customer demand. The new office will help Synchrologic more effectively serve the rapidly growing mobile and wireless enterprise infrastructure markets in Europe.
Synchrologic's iMobile Suite is the most complete solution for providing anywhere access to vital business data on mobile devices. Synchrologic's solution is available across a broad range of devices such as laptops, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)-enabled phones.
Allen will be responsible for promoting Synchrologic's full suite of enterprise software, which includes iMobile Suite and ReadySyncGo!. ReadySyncGo! offers personalized and localized content aimed at mobile professionals. iMobile Suite allows IT departments to offer enterprise applications and data to employees across a broad range of mobile platforms.

Allen's appointment closely follows other major announcements -- including the addition of John Dancu as the president and chief operating officer, and Doug Hadaway as chief financial officer. Synchrologic recently announced $22 million in equity funding to build sales channels and marketing presence, and to continue enhancing its enterprise software that supports laptops, PDAs and WAP-enabled phones.

Allen joins Synchrologic with more than 20 years experience in technology markets, serving in various senior management positions. Since 1991, he has been responsible for managing wholly owned European subsidiaries, most recently as managing director of European operations for Microware Systems, a leading developer of real time operating systems. At Microware, he established subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Holland. Over a five-year period, he helped increase revenues by more than 400 percent. Allen previously held senior positions at Verilog and Yourdon International.
