SYNCHROLOGIC AUTOMATES WIRELESS CONNECTIONS FOR POCKET PC USERS
Two New Sync Options Provide Mobile Workers Flexible Preferences to Updating Information on Pocket PC Devices
ATLANTA, Ga., January 8, 2002 - Synchrologic announced today that it has added two new capabilities for Pocket PC users to get the enterprise information they need from behind the corporate firewall for a time and cost effective end user experience.
ReadySyncTM automates the connection and management of data so that users can receive or send email or other enterprise application data without pressing a button, even waking up a turned off device to send/receive data. ReadySync provides bandwidth awareness so that the connection type - wireless or wire line, high speed or low speed - is automatically detected and the synchronization session initiated is appropriate to the connection type.
SyncXpressTM provides an additional sync profile that allows users to select the specific data they need for a rapid sync session. For example, the SyncXpress profile might be configured to exclude attachments from emails or defer software updates allowing the user to get the exact information they need in the fastest manner possible to minimize connection times and costs.
