FreeRein and Synchrologic Partner to Extend Mobile Platform Technologies
Partners Round Out Offerings for Mobile Enterprise Customers
BELLEVUE, Wash. and ATLANTA - May 30, 2001 - FreeRein and Synchrologic today announced the formation of a partnership to include Synchrologic's iMobile Suite in FreeRein's Mobile Platform.
The relationship will allow FreeRein to build Synchrologic's industry-leading mobile infrastructure solution into its platform for offline or online data management on wireless devices. The partnership gives FreeRein's customers access to Synchrologic's solution for mobile PIM and data synchronization.
The companies have also agreed to work together to create new tools and extend existing technologies into enterprise verticals like transportation, financial services and wireless carriers through strategic distribution channels.

Brown said FreeRein is building a mobile platform that provides mission critical wireless functionality with a single administration interface and software development kit. Enterprise customers can use the FreeRein Mobile Platform to develop custom vertical applications to meet their specific needs. Microsoft and FreeRein's technical team have provided additional components that will be included in the platform.

"This is the first time we have established a partnership that will make the iMobile Suite a part of another platform for use in a number of vertical mobile solutions."
Synchrologic's iMobile Suite and FreeRein's Mobile Platform are designed to provide data and applications to a variety of wireless platforms including laptop computers, Palm OS and PocketPC devices.
