Infowave, Synchrologic Ink Deal to Expand Options for the Mobile Workforce
Partnership Results in Joint Marketing and Sales Initiatives
BELLEVUE, Wash., and ATLANTA, July 30, 2001 -- In a partnership that will let mobile workers switch at will between online or offline connectivity with enterprise applications depending upon the availability and quality of a wireless connection, Infowave (TSE: IW) and Synchrologic Inc. today announced they will jointly market and distribute wireless software products and services.
The partnership offers customers dual capabilities. Infowave provides mobile workers with real-time wireless access to enterprise applications, such as email, corporate applications, files and corporate intranets and extranets.
With Synchrologic's iMobile Suite, the same data can be accessed and modified while offline or when out of wireless coverage. Additionally, complete mobile systems management is provided supplying comprehensive information on who is accessing information, when it is being accessed, and detailed device inventory. This product combination keeps workers connected to the information they need whether they are online or offline and improves productivity and customer service and lowers total cost of ownership of mobile devices.
