Mobile Data Synchronization for
Oracle8 and Oracle Lite 3.5

Synchrologic SyncKit Server Adds Support
for Latest Oracle Databases

ATLANTA (February 24, 1999) - Synchrologic, Inc. (www.synchrologic.com) today announced that SyncKit® is now certified for use with the latest versions of Oracle Corp.'s (NASDAQ: ORCL) popular client and server databases. With the SyncKit mobile data synchronization server, developers can now more easily build Oracle-based applications that support mobile users who connect only occasionally to the network to update and share data. Synchrologic is the industry's leading developer of client-to-server data synchronization technology and has dozens of customers already deployed with Oracle's database technology.

"Oracle is pleased to have Synchrologic as an Oracle Alliance Partner. Their support of Oracle8 and Oracle Lite 3.5 gives Oracle's corporate customers increased flexibility in deploying mobile data synchronization," said Denise Lahey, Vice President, Oracle Mobile and Embedded Products. "While Oracle continues to provide best-of-breed data synchronization as part of Oracle Lite, we also believe in freedom of choice and Synchrologic's Oracle support provides just that."

"Oracle is the market leader in the relational database market, and we're excited to add support for their latest releases," said Bill Jones, vice president of marketing for Synchrologic. "Oracle application developers can significantly reduce their development cycles and decrease costs by relying on our advanced data synchronization server."

Leading the technical development of their Java-based Business Intelligence application, Scott Cabral of Zeneca Agricultural Products states, "A critical requirement of our project involves allowing usage of the application off-line, disconnected from our Oracle 8 server database. We extensively tested Oracle's latest database products with Synchrologic's synchronization tools and found both performed and worked together very well. SyncKit will be a core component in our application strategy to keep data synchronized between our North American headquarters and our remote mobile workforce."

Available to software vendors and corporate application developers, Synchrologic's SyncKit mobile data synchronization server provides data replication capabilities between a heterogeneous mix of server and client-side databases. In addition to Oracle and Oracle Lite, it supports such popular databases as Microsoft SQL Server, Informix, IBM DB2, Microsoft Access and Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere. SyncKit is scalable to thousands of remote installations and comes complete with an administrative tool set for comprehensive support and maintenance.
