FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Synchrologic Unveils RealSync Technology for Palm Computing Platform

Technology Simplifies Palm Device-to-Server Synchronization

ATLANTA (April 12, 1999) - Synchrologic, Inc. (www.synchrologic.com) today announced its RealSyncTM data synchronization technology for the Palm Computing® platform. RealSync allows users of PalmTM devices - including the PalmPilotTM, Palm IIITM, Palm IIIxTM and Palm V>TM organizers to synchronize their devices to network servers, enabling Palm Computing platform-based line-of-business applications to operate anytime, anywhere.

RealSync is a synchronization protocol that hosts multiple Palm organizer users synchronizing to a network. RealSync adds support for multiple connections to the synchronization server and supports both Palm device-to-server and Palm device-to-desktop-to-server configurations. The connection can be made with a Palm organizer modem, wireless modem or Palm HotSync® cradle, allowing the user to synchronize data with corporate databases. The RealSync technology will also be included in the upcoming Synchrologic SyncKit for Palm Computing platform product.

According to Gabriel Acosta-Lopez, director of platform development services for Palm Computing, Inc., "Palm welcomes the support of Synchrologic, a leading provider of enterprise synchronization technology. Its RealSync synchronization technology, when combined with its SyncKit server, provides a powerful synchronization tool for enterprise applications for the Palm Computing platform."

"Organizations deploying mobile applications today require synchronization for a wide variety of application, hardware, and database platforms," said John Grozier, Vice President Product Management of Vantive. "Vantive selected Synchrologic as its strategic mobilization partner because it has demonstrated its ability to provide the level of support, vision, and core competencies that our customers require in this area. With the RealSync technology, Synchrologic has again addressed the needs of the mobilized user by recognizing and supporting handhelds as a strategic platform for enterprise business computing."

"We have domain expertise in enterprise synchronization," said Said Mohammadioun, Synchrologic CEO. "We are excited about the growth of the Palm Computing platform and about our role in tying these cool devices to the rest of the enterprise. Supporting the Palm Computing platform is highly complementary to the rest of our business, and it leverages our demonstrated expertise in enterprise synchronization."

The version of SyncKit for the Palm Computing platform will be available in the summer of 1999. With SyncKit, application developers can add data synchronization to their applications, enabling users to run the application while not connected to the central server. The version of SyncKit for the Palm Computing platform will support bi-directional synchronization with a Palm device and a desktop/laptop, as well as directly to the enterprise database server. Developers will be able to use SyncKit to get Palm Computing enterprise applications to market faster and with less effort as compared with developing their own data synchronization scheme.
