Synchrologic Awarded Patent for Advanced Data Synchronization
iMobile Data Synchronization Recognized for Reducing IT's Strain and Increasing Mobile Workers' Productivity by Extending Enterprise Applications
ATLANTA, July 9, 2001 - Corporate IT is burdened with the task of distributing data and supporting thousands of mobile users. In recognition of easing this challenge, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has awarded a patent to Synchrologic Inc. for its iMobile Data Synchronization, a key component of iMobile Suite infrastructure software for mobile computing devices. The patent office's decision signals a milestone in the advance of mobile computing, and acknowledges the technology requirements unique to supporting mobile users.
The patent, titled "Database Synchronization and Organization System and Method" was issued on May 1. iMobile Data Synchronization is the only product that lets IT managers send complex, corporate data without having to reconfigure applications or databases. Before iMobile Data Synchronization, IT had to write thousands of lines of code to distribute and maintain data and had no flexibility to adapt to the dynamics of its constantly changing organization and market. Mobile workers can now access mission-critical back-end data formerly locked within enterprise walls and accessible only by LAN-connected users.
With iMobile Suite's Data Synchronization, mobile workers can spend more time focusing on selling products, collecting data, or interacting with customers rather than struggling to gain access to the information they left back at the office.

The unique technology has been granted U.S. Patent No. 6,226,650 by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Synchrologic also has several other patents pending for other elements of its synchronization technologies.
