Worldspan to Provide Travel Content for Synchrologic's ReadySyncGo! Product
ATLANTA & ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- November 15, 2000-Worldspan and Synchrologic, the leader in synchronizing business data anywhere, today announced an agreement to provide airline flight data and associated travel information via ReadySyncGo!, Synchrologic's personalized data synchronization service. Under the agreement, Worldspan will supply Synchrologic with up-to-the-minute flight information-including flight status, gate and terminal information-for leading U.S. and international airlines. Other pertinent travel information will also be supplied, including car rental and hotel confirmation numbers.
Synchrologic's ReadySyncGo! product will synchronize users' travel itineraries, making the information available on any Internet-enabled device at any time, along with current weather and forecast, maps, and driving directions. Personalized travel alerts such as flight notifications are also pushed to mobile devices.
Utilizing state-of-the-art XML (Extensible Markup Language) technology, Worldspan will deliver flight information and other travel reservations data from the Worldspan global distribution system through the Internet directly to Synchrologic customers. Users will be able to display complete trip itineraries, which may include air, car, hotel, cruise and tour reservations.
Synchrologic's synchronization service keeps day-to-day information such as travel itineraries and appointments in sync between a user's wireless Web phone, handheld personal digital assistant (PDA), pager, and home or office PC or laptop. Calendar, address book, itinerary, to-do list, and other data is synchronized automatically among multiple devices. The same data is also available from any Web browser or Internet phone.
